Here is a video on how to get to Woods Creek Park. It was meant to also show you where the field is but there were issues afterward with the rest of the recording. When you park just walk towards the far southeast corner. Any questions in advance please let me know. NEXT WEEK, PRACTICES BEGIN! By now, you should have heard from the coaches on the practice days and times. If you have not, please reach out to me. Here is the practice calendar for next week: Monday April 5, 2021 – NOTE for 4/5 Only: Coach Matt will run practice as Coach Tricia is on the mend. U12 with Coach Tricia – 5:30-7 p.m. Woods Creek Park - Turn on Memory Trail off of Thompson Road. Memory Trail is the road directly in front of Wonder Lake Fire Station #2. Go west on Memory Trail tills it ends. You will see the sign for Woods Creek Park, continue straight (slowly). You are welcome to park anywhere in the grassy area before the RED PAINTED line on the asphalt. The road is for Emergency vehicles only past that RED line and can be subject to ticketing if vehicles are parked on the road at any point. Then, it is a good walk to where the practice area will be. It is my hope that I can do a quick video of the park for those that are visiting for the first time. Hi everyone,
Thank you for being so very patient as the Club rolls out the details for the upcoming Spring 2021 season. I have shared some bits and pieces of information, but this e-mail is going to be a bit lengthy but complete. Important and serious at times. This is part of my commitment I took as Club President in 2018, to be as transparent as possible in every aspect of information. Words cannot express the gratitude that I have for all of you that chose to put your trust in Wonder Lake Youth Soccer Club. We are back with an anticipated full season and ready to have a lot of fun. However, we will, as a collective group, need to do things differently in these uncertain times. Cue the serious part of this e-mail… I have posted Spectator and Player guidelines on our websites to set expectations on conduct and procedures. This includes the expectations on mask wearing, social distancing and other health and safety topics. ACTION REQUIRED by each family: (only needs to be done once per family) is to read and acknowledge these guidelines. These will be always available on the website for review after acknowledgment. I will be keeping track and ensuring these acknowledgements are made before uniform pickup. Link to the guidelines for you to take action: https://wonderlakeyouthsoccerclub.weebly.com/code-of-conduct.html These guidelines are considered final. Yes, there are going to be moments where some of this seems extreme. I have always been flexible on many league related matters since I started coaching in 2016, but these guidelines have been considered from many points of view and are in place for a reason. We are trying to find that balance between allowing all to play to have fun and allowing all to play safely. The Club will monitor the latest guidance and if there is any need to tighten or loosen the guidelines, I will consider implementing those changes. If there are any concerns about what is outlined, I am more than willing to listen and talk through them. In reality, it is only for 1-4 hours a week, depending on age level. These are consistent with all soccer clubs in the area. I thank you for your cooperation on this matter in order for all of us to remain well. PAYMENT INFORMATION: If you have previously paid for Spring 2020 season and did not get refunded, you do not owe anything. For those who need to submit payment, the Club offers a few different methods: Pay via PayPal to the following link: https://paypal.me/wlysc?locale.x=en_US Mail checks, made payable to Wonder Lake Youth Soccer Club, to the following address: Wonder Lake Youth Soccer Club 9708 Marci Lane Hebron, IL 60034 Payment is required to receive your uniform.
