www.usyouthsoccer.org/file.aspx?DocumentId=63
If your player is younger than the years listed, the age groups change each Fall. We appreciate your patience as they reach that recommended group.
If your player is older than the years listed, I recommend reaching out to other area clubs to play. Fellow Northwest Recreational Suburban League (NRSL) clubs that offer older levels include Woodstock United and Northern United FC.
When are practices?
Practices for Spring 2024 are scheduled to begin the first week of April. Dates and times will be determined by coach availability.
Here is the general guideline for practice frequency:
U12 - Twice a week for at least 75 minutes each practice
U10 - Twice a week for at least 60 minutes each practice
U8 - Once a week for at least 45 minutes each practice
U6 - Once a week for at least 30 minutes each practice
When are games?
Games will typically be on Saturday mornings for U6 and U8 age levels. U10 and U12 will usually play on Saturday mornings/afternoons but it will depend on scheduling as these groups do play other area teams via the NRSL (Northwest Suburban Recreational League).
Depending on staffing or other circumstances, there may be a need to play a game on a practice day. This will be communicated well in advance by coaches.
What equipment is needed?
Equipment Reminder for each player:
-Practice shirt
-Game jersey (provided with registration. On game days, long-sleeved shirts can be worn under the jersey. Hoods must be tucked in)

The fields for Practices and Home Games are at Jacobson Park and Woods Creek Park (depending on the age level). How do I get to those parks?
Jacobson Park is located at 4150 Thompson Road, in Wonder Lake. There are multiple ways to get there but the entrance is a bit north of the three way intersection of Thompson Road and Wondermere Road.
Here are directions to get from Jacobson Park to Woods Creek Park:
Head south on Thompson Road. While heading south you will pass Steve's Marathon gas station on your right, go straight after the stop sign. The street immediately after Wonder Lake Fire Station #2 is Memory Trail. Turn right onto Memory Trail and follow it until it ends. The road will end with a sign that says "Woods Creek Park." You need to park in the grassy area before the spray-painted red line. Beyond the red line is used for emergency vehicles only.
It will be a significant walk to the soccer field at Woods Creek Park. The portable bathroom will be close to the parking area.
How will I be notified of cancellations?
The Club is committed to trying to not cancel events prematurely. Just because there is inclement weather before practice or a game, doesn't necessarily mean that the event will be called off.
If there is inclement weather, a decision will be made to cancel practices until around 4 PM. There will be a combination of Facebook posts, text messages and app notifications.
For games, we will try to make that decision at least an hour before a game is supposed to begin. Same notification methods, but for the older levels there is a lot more coordination to be done.
